Cooler Master Gladiator 600 - Mid Tower Case Review Print E-mail

Cooler Master Gladiator 600 Mid Tower Case ReviewWhen shopping for a mainstream mid tower case, we tend to think of the basic necessities for housing your PC components.   However basic does not always have to be the case.  With enough time you can compare cases and find the proper one that gives you the most bang for the buck, or you can look to Cooler Master to see what they have on their list of quality mid range cases.

Today PCWizKid saves you time to look around for a mid tower case by reviewing the Cooler Master Gladiator 600 Mid Tower Case.  One thing you will expect first from a mainstream or mid range case is that it will not be made 100% out of aluminum.  Most cases are a steel alloy mix with some plastic parts for the front bezel for example.  This is common and the facts of the Gladiator 600 model.  So taking into consideration the fact that it will be a little bit heavier , what you need to concentrate on is whats inside, the features and the overall functionality of the case for your needs.  The Gladiator 600 case for example will fit the latest video cards such as the ATI Radeon HD5850 because there is room for a 9.5" inch video card but I would not go bigger than 10" inches unless the video card you have has the power connectors on the top.  This is currently an issue with almost all mid tower cases today, they are not made to take the larger HD5870 for example.  So keeping that in mind if your not going to be spending big $$$ on the top of the line HD5870 then you will be fine with the interior space of the Gladiator 600.

Conclusion

The Cooler Master Gladiator 600 is priced right for what you get. It offers excellent airflow options, strong construction, convenient features, and looks great. Cable management is easy, but could use the extra rear exhaust fan which is optional for you to add.  As pointed out in the video review PCWizKid loves the tool-less design for the drive bays and the addition of dust filters. The case is capable of fitting the large current-generation video cards less than 10 inches (so don't expect the HD5870 to fit) but anything else smaller fits great! The overall look of the case is sleek and clean and installing components such as the motherboard and CPU Cooler was easy.  The Gladiator 600 is a well rounded mid tower case that for less than $70 US is definitely a PCWizKid recommended product for those looking for a solid mainstream desktop with terrific support and flexibility.
