Modular power supplies have been a popular choice for PC Gamers building clean, clutter free systems. When taking into consideration the dust build up in a case and the air flow requirements to keeping an overclocked rig, you need to have all cables tucked away out of sight. The best thing about a modular PSU is that you use the power connectors needed only which spares the clutter. With the OCZ ModXStream Pro series of gaming power supplies you can easily achieve that balance of power efficiency versus cooling and organization in your gaming rig.
PCWizKid takes a closer look in detail at the OCZ ModXStream Pro 700 Watt model. OCZ also provides this series in a 500W and 600W for those who don't need the additional power and have specific requirements or are on a budget.

Conculsion
For today's gaming PC's a crossfire or SLI capable PSU is a must. The OCZ ModXStream Pro has the performance and quality to delivery a consistent demand of power according to the load requirements. As a starter PSU a 500W model is more than enough, however if your planning on have two GPU's the 700 Watt is a must, specially for the latest ATI Radeon 5800 series graphics cards of today. Another highlight of this PSU is the silent fan, amazingly quiet for its size. I would have like to have seen included more PCIe 6pin connectors though , however for the price point ($59 - $99 USD depending on the model) this is one of best priced modular and 80 efficient PSU's out, a definite choice in my books.
